New study shows AndroFeme® improves the sexual satisfaction of women. August 2007

A new study just published in the prestigious journal of the International Menopause Society, Climacteric 2007; 10: 335-343, has proven that Lawley Pharmaceuticals AndroFeme® testosterone cream significantly improves the overall sexual satisfaction of women. The study conducted by the Toyal Hospital for Women in Sydney, Australia examined the effect of AndroFeme® on the sexual motivation of menopausal hysterectomized women with the hypoactive sexual desire disorder. In a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial seven parameters of sexual desire were measured using the Brief Index of Sexual Function for Women (BISF-W). The results found that overall sexual function improved significantly compared to placebo and when examining specific aspects of sexual function the areas of sexual desire, frequency of sex, receptivity and initiation improved most.

This study in menopausal women mirrors the findings of a previous study (Menopause 2003 Sep-Oct;10(5):390-8) using AndroFeme® in pre-menopausal women published in 2004.
